Established in 1937, the Castletroy Golf Club is one of Irelands finest courses and offers five tee options to suit any golfer. The club has undergone significant changes in the last number of years under the expert guidance of Eddie Connaughton. Limerick Golf Club boasts a rich tradition in competitive golf, having secured twelve national titles and becoming the first Irish club to win a European title at the senior level. Located at Ballyclough on the southern outskirts of Limerick City, it is one of Ireland’s oldest golf clubs, founded in 1891, the same year as the Golfing Union of Ireland. The course and clubhouse are situated on the historic site of Roxboro Castle and grounds. The club features a mature parkland course with several holes designed by Dr. Alister McKenzie, the architect of Lahinch and Augusta National, and others by John D. Harris. With over 1300 members, Limerick Golf Club has one of the largest memberships in the country.
